Awesome.Bringing it to show and go?

so as a 1st year boy scout dad i had to show up the suit n tie dads on the pinewood derby build this year. comming out the box strong with this one.
the rules only allow 5 oz. total weight, im weighing in at 4.86 oz's right now with all my lead weight in the rear, completely hidden inside the body. wanted to use tungsten but got anxios and couldnt find any. = speed, ill add thumb tacks to the rear later after the offical weigh in to achieve 5.0 oz's exact. hollowed out front, extended wheelbase.3 wheelin,,, less friction on the track = speed.
beveled front nose,, less contact on the starting pole for a faster take off,
axles and wheels are on for show at the moment. this weekend ill take my son to my machine shop partner where we will put the axles and wheels on the lathe, we will v notch the wheels, meaning only a small sliver of the wheels actually touches the track, the hub portion of the wheels will get beveled, and centerbore polished out with a pipe cleaner and compound. also polish the axles (nails) and file a groove in them, there again reducing friction and generating more speed.
i have built a test run track to ensure proper wheel alignment.
some of these mods are not allowed at district, but are all legal for the local pack .
btw,,, paint job is a 3 stage blue candy. all go and some show. and yes, my 8yr old son did help out with every aspect of this build.
